I discovered a great opportunity a few weeks ago through networking.
I applied online.
And started wondering how I could get notified of these online calls for speakers.
Here’s the tip:
Go to Google Alerts
Enter search terms: Speaker Application Boston
(or whatever city makes sense to you)
The defaults for the rest of the fields are fine.
Enter your email address for the daily digest.
I don’t work for Google.
I just use their Alerts to grow my speaking business.
Granted, most of the results are not useful. You can safely ignore them.
Once or twice a month I get a great lead on a local speaking opportunity.
