A few weeks ago, on a whim, I press the “express” button on my dishwasher.
The display blinks from “2:20” to “1:00.”
I blink. Did I just save an hour and 20 minutes?
In an ode to how conditioned we are to the way things are, I find myself thinking “But can it really clean my dishes in only one hour?”
Yes, it turns out. Yes. Of course it can.
And it gets me thinking about your Elevator Pitch.
Because I spent a lot of time waiting for that dishwasher.
In between courses at dinner parties.
On days I forget to run the full dishwasher after lunch.
When I run out of silverware before I ran out of plates. (How’s that?)
Apparently, it’s more energy efficient for a dishwasher to run a longer cycle.

They wait years for what should take months.
They wait weeks for what should take days.
It can take years for opportunities to develop through business networking.
But conversations should start immediately.
I’ve worked with people who had waited years to get results from business networking.
I’m not sure how they were that patient – I’m definitely not.
We tuned up their Elevator Pitch and they found opportunities within weeks (or days).
Here are three proven ways to speed up your Elevator Pitch.
