The early first frost Monday morning effectively ends mosquito bites here in the Northeast, but my five-year-old daughter still wakes up this morning requesting itchy spray.
Of course, it’s more commonly known as anti-itch spray.
But not to my daughter.
She’s itchy.
She needs itchy spray.
And it gets me thinking about your Elevator Pitch.
Because, like my daughter, most people won’t make the leap from their symptom to your cure.
It’s obvious to you.
Why they’d need a bookkeeper, or a lawyer, or a real-estate agent, or a webmaster.
But they can’t see the solution.
All they have is a symptom.
It’s your job,
Well, your Elevator Pitch’s job
To let them know
That you help people with exactly their symptom.
With helping the elderly pay bills.
Or setting up trusts for Autistic children,
Or finding cash-flow positive investment properties in Somerville,
Or making websites mobile friendly.
They don’t know that they need a bookkeeper, or a lawyer, or a real-estate agent, or a webmaster.
Yet.
But once they know
That you know
Their symptom,
They’ll be eager to listen to your solution.
