The cashier at our local pizza joint pops open the box to show me the pizza.
It would seem odd, except that a few weeks ago, at a different pizza place, I get the box home and discover a burnt pizza.
Naturally, I call to complain so they cheerfully make a new pizza which was, as I discovered when I picked it up, also burnt.
Hey, at least they’re consistent.
But there’s something refreshing about a restaurant that pops open the box to show you the pizza you’re picking up.
Nothing to hide.
And it gets me thinking about your Elevator Pitch.
Because there’s pride and excitement in a job well done.
Whether it’s pizza, a mortgage, a new website, or a marketing campaign,
As Dizzy Dean said:
“It ain’t bragging if you can back it up.”
So, with apologies to Dizzy Dean, it ain’t bragging to tell your customer’s story, in your customer’s words, of the great results your customer enjoys as a result of working with you.
That makes for a great Elevator Pitch.
The kind you want to pop open and show to everyone…
