Grow Your List
3 insights that grew my website from
80 hits and zero leads a month to over
2,000 hits and 40 leads a day
This is the story of how I fixed my website by making it uglier.
How I went from fewer than 80 hits a month to over 2,000 hits a day.
And have grown my lists to over 20,000 subscribers.
Without spending a dime on advertising.
The whole process took about 3 years.
A word of caution:
There’s no gimmick.
There’s no one thing that instantly creates that kind of traffic.
It’s a series of little ideas I picked up one by one.
None of them earthshattering on its own.
Yet as I weave them together into my weekly routines, it makes a gigantic difference in my results.
Ideas like:
- The real reason people weren’t clicking on my free offer
- Two key reasons Google wasn’t prioritizing my website
- The subtle difference between writing a blog and generating leads
- Three hard truths about having more than 10,000 subscribers on my list
I dumped my first web developer when I realized that the text on my home page was all rendered in graphics (that means Google completely ignores you, by the way).
I dumped my second web developer when he held my website hostage.
But not before he gave me two key insights into my website, Google, and business world that would forever change the way I approach my blog.
And not before he created a key piece of code.
The piece of code, that with a few tweaks, now convinces 40 people a day to share their email address with me.
But I implemented his two insights and used that code, and still nothing happened.
That’s where this story begins.
Of my trial and error over three years that ended with a lead generating machine that works while I sleep.
I’m going to share these ideas with you.
Because I want you to get more and better leads.
It’s a great story, and I hope you’ll join me.
